Aquadom und Sea Life Berlin

The Sea Life Aquariums are located in 35 countries all over the world. There are many different types of national and international flora and fauna to be seen, discovered and touched in these elaborately decorated exhibitions. The experience aquariums offer their visitors 8 different locations of fascinating underwater world within Germany. Every each location has a special focus.

Next to video demonstrations and information panels, there are visitor guides who are always available to answer your questions. The heart of every Sea Life Center is the ocean tanks. This glass basin guides the visitors throughout a tunnel. Around 1.5 million liters of water fills this artificial living space. The tour also guides the visitors by the open rays’ pool. Here you can get close up to the friendly cartilage fish and starfish.

There is something for everybody here, from anemone fish to groupers as well as species from the North Sea to the Pacific. The top highlights in the Berlin aquarium are the theme basins of jellyfish and the Aqua Dom, which was opened in 2004. It is the biggest cylindrical aquarium of this type. It is a glass elevator that transports passengers through a 25 m tall exotic and stunning reef filled with various aquatic inhabitants. With a diameter of 12 m, this tank holds 1 million gallons of water and is home to approximately 1,500 fish from nearly 100 different species. The Sea Life Center is part of the Merlin Entertainment Group.
