After you have been picked up from your hotel in Budapest, you will travel through the Hungarian landscape along the Danube River.
Visegrád used to be a royal town and will take you back to the Middle Ages. It contains the Upper Castle, Lower Castle and Royal Residence. From there, you can also get a spectacular panoramic view of the Danube.
Esztergom is located near the Slovakian border and was once the capital of Hungary before it was moved to Buda in the 13th century. This is also the center of the Catholic Church in Hungary where the Esztergom Basilica is the largest church in the country. You can also look across the river into Slovakia.
Szentendre is a picturesque "Artist's Village" where the Danube meets the Pills Mountains. You will have the opportunity to walk around the town where you can visit the museums including the Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Marzipan & Confectionery Museum where you will find marzipan figures. It is also a popular shopping location for souvenirs.
From May until the end of September, you can enjoy a boat ride along the Danube back to Budapest where the tour ends at a pier in the city center. Otherwise in the winter season, you will travel back to the capital by bus.
