After you have been picked up from your hotel in Budapest, you will participate in a Grand City Tour of the Hungarian capital which includes the key landmarks of the city and an overview of over 1,000 years of Hungarian history.
Starting from Chain Bridge, you will then cross Margaret Bridge to Buda where you will visit the Castle District. The group will walk along the area and see highlights including Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion. From there you will get a spectacular panoramic view of the city. Gellért Hill (Citadel) also offers an incredible view of Budapest.
You will then cross the River Danube again towards Pest where you will see the famous Central Market Hall and the largest Synagogue in Europe. Along the way, the group will pass the City Park, Europe's largest thermal spa, Budapest Zoo and the Amusement Park before arriving at Heroes' Square with its monument dedicated to famous figures in Hungary's history. Travel along Andrássy Avenue past the Opera House before arriving at St. Stephen's Basilica.
Your itinerary also includes a visit to the enormous Neo-Gothic Hungarian Parliament where you will receive a guided tour around the complex. Its impressive dome makes it the tallest building in the city and the parliament was inaugurated in 1896 - 1,000 years after the founding of the Hungarian nation.
