After you have met with your tour guide, you will travel along central Athens and see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Constitution Square as well as the Panathenaikon Stadium which was the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Discover the Presidential Palace which was once home to the Greek King until 1975 when a republic was declared.
As you continue along Panepistimiou Avenue, you will see the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library and Omonia Square as well as the Roman Temple of Olympic Zeus.
The main highlight of the tour is a visit to the ancient Acropolis which was the heart of the Ancient Greek city-state of Athens over 2,000 years ago. Here you will find the Parthenon, Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion. You will also visit the New Acropolis Museum and discover artifacts recovered from the site including statues and busts.
